Canute couldn’t hold back the tide…
…and neither could these sea defences at West Wittering’s East Head beach.
These old sea defences are well-photographed, there’s always someone grabbing a photo of them at low tide. They’re easy to find and very accessible from the car park. The main problems with taking a photo at East Head are (a) people getting in the way and (b) the sea getting in the way.
Obviously it’s a nuisance that people want to use the beach while you’re taking photographs and I find that shouting and waving your arms can keep them away for a while. The tide on the other hand never does what its told.
I’ve put a little website together about my weekend photography, if you get a chance please pop over and visit www.scarlettiger.co.uk. Thanks for looking!
