Bognor Regis Pier in Winter

Bognor Regis Pier at Dawn on a November morning copy

Early start at Bognor!

Bognor Regis pier at dawn on November morning. The tide was out and even though it was 6 o’clock on a Sunday morning there was plenty happening – fishing boats being launched, dog walkers and joggers – and even folk returning home in their clubbing clothes from Saturday night!

The pier dates back to 1865 and has gone through various ownerships over the last 150 years. It was originally 1,000 feet long but time, fires and the sea have seen it shortened and it’s now a shadow of its former self.

20 seconds, f16 on my gorgeous Sigma 10mm lens 🙂 Worth getting up early…
