Snow in the Surrey woods
More snow flurries this week. These pine trees at Frensham could be deep in the Alps not Surrey!
I enjoyed composing this shot. The snow on the ground makes a big difference to the light under the trees, and making the most out of the foreground has created the impression that the trees are hanging from the top of the frame rather than growing up from the ground. The gap in the trees on the left draws the eye through to a smaller tree in the distance.
It was still very gloomy so shot at ISO 1600 on my Nikon D7100, Nikkor 16-85mm, ƒ/4.8 at 1/30th second.
